Workplace wellness programme launched for GCC employees

Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) Commissioner G.S Sameeran on Monday (August 10, 2026) a 360-degree workplace wellness programme to support the mental, emotional and social well-being of GCC employees at Amma Maaligai of Ripon Buildings complex.

The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC), in collaboration with the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) Chennai, under its corporate social responsibility efforts, and Dhruti Charitable Trust, launched ‘Mind Mantra’, a 360-degree workplace wellness programme to support the mental, emotional, and social well-being of GCC employees.

This was inaugurated by Commissioner G.S. Sameeran on Monday at the Ripon Buildings, in the presence of Joint Commissioner (Works) S. Saravanan. The Commissioner addressed a ‘Holistic Wellness Programme’ for GCC’s Assistant and Junior Engineers at Amma Maaligai in the Ripon Buildings complex. The initiative will offer confidential psychometric screening, individual counselling, stress management, and resilience-building workshops, mindfulness programmes, support groups, and employee engagement activities. Counselling services will be available through both on-site and virtual modes, a press release said.

Mehul H. Doshi, president, CREDAI Chennai, said “At CREDAI Chennai, we strongly believe that our responsibility towards the city goes beyond building homes and creating infrastructure.”
