The Department of Physics, Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for Women, Chennai, organised a state-level seminar on Advancing Frontiers: Innovations, Materials and Global Strategy 2025. Chithra Lekha P., Senior Scientist, Virginia Tech India and CEO, Karotimann Innovations, was the chief guest.

The Department of Commerce, Stella Maris College, Chennai, conducted an International Conference on Innovative Strategies in AI for Global Horizons in Trade and Commerce with Ezhilan Naganathan, MLA, as the chief guest. Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research hosted a Round Table on The Role of GCCs and Academia as Catalysts for Viksit Bharat 2047. Speakers included Guddi Rawat from Dentsu Global Service; Apurv Kodgule from Capgemini; Amit Walinjkar from KPMG India; Jnanendra Mishra, Director, PwC among others.

IIT Roorkee hosted the 12th Scientific Assembly of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences. Anand Bardhan, Chief Secretary, Government of Uttarakhand, was the chief guest. Researchers at the institute’s Innovations in Paper and Packaging Lab, in collaboration with Parason Machinery India, developed eco-friendly tableware made from wheat straw, an agricultural residue burned after harvest. The institute’s Department of Design, in collaboration with the International Centre for Frugal Innovation (ICFI), the Netherlands, and the Transdisciplinary Research Cluster on Frugality Studies (TRCFS), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), hosted a three-day international workshop on Heuristics in Frugal Innovation.

According to the Future-Ready Campuses: Unlocking the Power of AI in Higher Education report released by EY-Parthenon, in collaboration with FICCI, over 56% of Indian HEIs have implemented AI-related policies and 60% have permitted students to use AI tools, including generative AI applications in tutoring. The survey covered 30 higher education institutions (HEIs) across the country.

Springer Nature, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Government of India, flagged off the third edition of the India Research Tour 2025 to focus on promoting open Access and advancing awareness of One Nation, One Subscription and discuss research integrity and AI’s role in publishing.

Vijeth H., and Pewe-u Marhu from Nagaland University developed a flexible supercapacitor device capable of powering next-generation wearable electronics, electric vehicles, and renewable energy systems. The findings were published in RSC Advances, published by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Sarita R. Zele, Professor, Research and Development; Nivedita Gogate, Associate Professor, Civil Engineering; and other research scholars from MIT World Peace University have developed a recycling process that tackles the increasing solar photovoltaic PV waste. 

LEAD Group, in collaboration with Mahesh Shetty, founder and ex-CEO of Mahesh Tutorials, has introduced Board Ace to help students crack the board exams without tuitions. It delivers exam prep during school hours and includes academic support systems for teachers and students, and predictive tools, among others.

Smiling Tree partnered with Hindu College’s Political Science Department for a green initiative to promote environmental awareness and sustainable living.

The Association of International Schools in India concluded its 21st Annual Conference 2025. Over 250 global leaders discussed transforming K-12 education and other topics.

IIM Sambalpur celebrated its 11th Foundation Day with Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Education, was the chief guest. It inaugurated its new BS Programme Hostel facility, and a new Rangabati Open Theatre and Café Hub Complex.

Arshdeep Singh, a 12-year-old student at DPS International, Gurugram, has initiated school projects to purify dirty water, a nano bubble technology to increase oxygen levels and overall water quality in ponds and lakes, and the promotion of waterless urinal, to save water.

Kruu announced the Kruu Youth Fellowship (KYF) and College in the Cloud (CLIC) initiatives. KYF is a 100-day pre-university launchpad that equips high school students with academic profiling, real-world problem-solving experiences and more. Anant National University’s Centre for Public Policy Research and Design released An Anthology of Policies in India 2.0, a compendium that aims to serve as a resource for students and educators.

Aditya Birla World Academy, in collaboration with Mpower, hosted The Happy Place: Inside Out 2.0, an inter-school festival designed to break the stigma surrounding mental health discussions within school environments. Over 200 students from 16 schools participated.

A.M. Jain College held its 71st graduation day with G. Mahalingam, Non-Executive Chairman, City Union Bank, giving away degree certificates to 648 graduates from UG and PG programmes. 

IIM Raipur hosted a two-day workshop as part of its efforts to earn the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International accreditation.

Dhruv Galgotia, CEO, Galgotias University, participated in the India-UK Roundtable held in London to build stronger collaborations in higher education, research, and innovation between the two countries.

The Mehta Family School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at IIT Guwahati witnessed the graduation of its first B.Tech in Data Science and AI cohort (2021–2025). Priyal Gupta, Saanvi Jain, Aaditya Mittal, and Kartikeya Sharma (Team Social Pixelators)A, fourth-year B.Tech CSE students from JECRC University, Jaipur, won first prize at the ServiceNow University HackNow India 2025, organised under the ServiceNow AI Skills Summit.

Likhila B.K., a class 11 student of St. Francis School, Bengaluru, won the Best Poster and Best Idea Pitch awards at the First Academia-Industry Conclave 2025, organised by the Centre for Nano and Material Sciences (CNMS), Jain University. The project was part of Anveshana 2025, Prayoga’s national student research programme.

Saiansh Tapuriah and Attharv Bhagchandka from Shri Ram School, Gurugram, won the Delhi NCR edition of Tata Consultancy Services’ TCS InQuizitive 2025.

Aaradhya Duddilla Sripadarao; Nigama Penmetsa; Syeda Aliza Zayma; Rahini Samhitha Verma Dantuluri, and Jaden D Rozario (Team Green Glen Guardians), students of Classes 6-7 from Glendale Academy won the gold in the middle-school category at the Global Excellence Day 2025, held in Singapore for their project on organic farming and sustainable agriculture.

Mutayyib M Khan, Visvanathan A, Mahima Suresh, and Ishwarya Sree (Team Do and DEI) from IIM Trichy won India Included, the national case study challenge hosted by Godrej DEI Lab.

Monash University Malaysia has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Tata Chemicals to conduct research in gut microbiome and gut health.

IIT Roorkee signed an MoU with Maithri Aquatech to collaborate on furthering sustainable water solutions in the country.

The AICTE has partnered with the Consortium for Technical Education to address the need for advanced skills in AI, ML, and Cybersecurity, which includes establishing TECHNOVATE Hubs within AICTE’s Indovation Centres, , which will connect Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in higher education institutions.

Brother International (India) has partnered with Mahesh Foundation, Belagavi to provide education support for 375 underprivileged children for 2025-26.

Ansys has partnered with the Maker Bhavan Foundation (MBF) to strengthen STEM education in India by providing tier-2 Engineering students in MBF-supported makerspaces called Tinkerers’ Labs with access to simulation tools from Synopsys’ Simulation and Analysis portfolio.

Zell Education has partnered with Wizfinity to offer Indian students direct access to MIT-integrated Master’s programmes in Business Administration, Financial Technology, and more, from Georgian National University SEU.

EnglishHelper has partnered with Anko Sourcing to implement the Reading and Comprehension Assistant (RCA) programme for class 4 to 10 students across VIDYA’s network of schools in Delhi NCR. It uses AI to deliver personalised learning and helps students improve reading fluency and comprehension while also building essential language skills.

Imperial College London has partnered with Science Gallery Bengaluru (SGB) to develop open research facilities on-site at SGB and facilitate global talent exchange through a joint Fellowship, and explore public engagement, research and education collaborations.
