The trailer of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups was released on August 8. The film also features actors Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Nayanthara and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles. In the video, Yash emerges in his KGF persona as the rebel, single-handedly fighting villains against the backdrop of 1980s Goa.

In the upcoming Geetu Mohandas directorial, Yash plays the dual role as Raya and Rumi. Amid the gunshots, explosions, bloodshed and hand-to-hand combats, the ensemble also features Kiara Advani as Nadia, Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth, Nayanthara as Ganga, Tara Sutaria as Rebecca, and Rukmini Vasanth as Melissa.

Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been simultaneously shot in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several other languages — underscoring the film’s global ambition.

The principal photography of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups took place from August 2024 to October 2025 across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Goa, Thoothukudi and Jaipur.

The film assembles a stellar technical crew, featuring National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, composer Ravi Basrur, editor Ujwal Kulkarni, and production designer TP Abid. Its action is helmed by Hollywood’s JJ Perry of John Wick fame, along with top Indian stunt experts Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.

Recently the film’s new song, Manamohaka, featuring Yash, Tara and Kiara was released. The song explores the complex relationship among these characters.

The film’s first song, Tabaahi also led to social media reactions to Yash and Kiara’s chemistry, as well as viewers divided over the portrayal of intimacy in films.

Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026.
