22-year-old woman found dead on railway track in Annamayya district

A 22-year-old woman was reportedly found dead on the railway track near Piler in Annamayya district early on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Derangula Anjamma, the wife of Derangula Sivakumar and a resident of Akulavaripalle, near the station.

The family members informed the Railway police that Anjamma allegedly had an argument with relatives at home and subsequently left the house at night. She then reached the railway track and allegedly ended her life, they said.

The incident came to light after the locomotive pilot alerted the railway authorities. Railway police from Kadiri reached the spot, registered a case, and launched an inquiry.
